Hello team!
Wow, I can’t believe it is May already! Time for Peru is coming fast! I pray that everything is going well with each of you with finishing school and whatever else you have going on, preparing for Peru, and with support and such. With that being said, make sure that if you have any questions, please email me or someone else at AIM and I will do my best to answer your questions that day. I know some of you have asked things on the facebook group, but it’s easier for me to send the answer to the whole group if its applicable if it’s in an email.
With that being said, I need to tell you guys some exciting news!! We have new teammates! Welcome Barton, BreAnne, and Jheri! We are so excited to have you join this team and serve with us in Peru! If you wouldn’t mind, when you get the chance I’d love it if you could reply all to this email and tell us all a little about who you are and where your heart is.
We also have another addition to our team! Chelsea Geyer, who is currently serving as an FYM in Swaziland, will also be joining our team as a co-leader! Chelsea will be emailing you as soon as she gets the chance (internet is sparce in Swazi) to share with you who she is and where her heart is. I’m really excited to have her be a part of this team, along with everyone else who has joined, and I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in this group!
I don’t have many logistics to share with you this week. Be sure to be checking the blog and that you finish your blogging assignment so that we can know you all a little better! There’s also some important info there like flight schedule and such. I’ll be sending out a modified packing list soon, so look for that. Also, Meghan had talked about starting to pray each week together (at the same time) at 7PM central on Thursdays for each other. I think that’s a fantastic idea, so I hope you join us! I’ll go ahead and send a prayer request from me: I’m still in school until mid June, and its so busy that I barely have time to eat on some days, so pray that I will get everything done for you guys as well as make sure I have time with my Lord each day, as without that, all this is worth nothing!
One last thing: random question for the week: If you could have any super power, what would it be? I would have to say I would want the ability to control time…haha. I would want to be able to create more time when needed, slow it down when it moves too fast, go back in time and experience great memories again, or speed it up on days like today when I don’t want to be in class any longer…haha. I know however that God knew what he was doing when he alone wanted to control that aspect of life…but man sometimes it’d be nice… 🙂
