Training Camp!
Everyone is here safely. Chanelle and Ally arrived last night and were quickly welcomed into the team. We’ve climbed walls, ate “cultural” food in a cultural way a.k.a. with our fingers and learned so much about ourselves. God is moving in powerful and mighty ways and bringing us closer in Him.
Yesterday, as a team we went through an obstacle course, balancing, climbing and supporting each other through various challenges. The one that stuck out was at the end as a team we had to get everyone over a 12 ft wall. With people pushing and pulling we had to learn to trust and rely on each other in order to succeed. Last night God showed us that we’re not just climbing physical walls, but that through this next month He’s going to use us to climb, break down and overcome walls in our own lives. We’re learning that it’s inevitable that in our own lives we have put up walls, but we know that if we want to minister to the people effectively then we have to open up, be vulnerable and trust each other. I can’t wait to see God break down walls and then build us up together in Him.
These are a few of the words the team came up with to describe the last few days:
Unexpected
Invigorating (x2)
Unified
Liberating
Intense
Welcoming
Trust-filled
Exhausting
Alive!
Prayer Requests:
– That God will begin to open the hearts of the people in Peru and open our hearts as to what He wants us to do.
-That the Spirit will continue to unify us and bring us together in Him as one body.
-That we will be open and vulnerable and break down walls in each other’s lives
-For the leaders that God will continue to strengthen and speak to us.
-Teresa and Chelsea 🙂
p.s. Pictures are coming! (Technical difficulties…stay tuned)
